Yes, the blog’s been quiet for a while. It’s not that we haven’t had crow-worthy successes in our kitchen lately. It’s just that my energy got temporarily diverted from storing them here.<\/p>\n
About eight months ago, I began to focus on planning meals through a central cook in the house (me!), and specifically planning ahead a month at a time in an attempt to reduce costs. I researched and found an app that was *essential* to the process. I worked to plan an enormous amount of details to make it happen. And in using the app, a lot of my information on new kitchen experiments ended up stored there instead of here. <\/p>\n
I learned a LOT from all that work… not least of which is that I NEED our household food shopping and cooking chores to be spread out further through the household! In addition to this big change in plans, the app\/website I was using not only sold my contact information, but sold it to an organization I find truly reprehensible. Ugh! I’m done with them. It’s time to come home!<\/p>\n
So, knowing there will soon be an influx of new recipes here, I wanted to spiff the place up a bit. AND, I hope to make the site much more user-friendly! You’ll find some small changes here and there that I think makes the place more easily navigable. The theme I’m using (brand new to me) should also be portable — optimized for desktop, phone, and gadgets in between the two. Take a look around! If you see or have any troubles, please let me know.<\/p>\n
