Easy No-Bake Cookie Balls

These tasty morsels are a great way to get credit for homemade treats, without ever turning on the oven. They’re based on the popular Oreo balls, the recipe for which can be found several places online. They are SO easy to make – I made mine during the commercials in a single House episode!

This time, I used chocolate chocolate chip cookies. Our next time making them, they’ll be chocolate-free.

No-Bake Cookie Balls

2 packages (about 10 oz) Pamela’s chocolate chocolate chip cookies
6 oz cream cheese (about 3/4 of a package)
Vanilla yogurt flavored microwaveable fruit dip
Chocolate flavored microwaveable fruit dip

1) Crush the cookies, either in a ziploc bag or a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly with cream cheese.
2) Shape into balls about 1 inch wide.
3) Microwave the fruit dip according to package directions, until it’s thoroughly melted. Using a fork, roll the balls in the dip of your choice. Have a sheet of wax paper ready and transfer the balls onto it while they harden.
4) For drizzle, put dip into the microwave for a few seconds more, until it’s a bit runny. Load some dip on the end of the fork and drizzle across the top of the balls.

Eat!! This makes about 2 dozen balls.

We can’t decide which flavor is our favorite, and considering I can never have enough chocolate, that’s saying something! We’ve decided our favorite is generally whichever one we’re eating at the time.

Several of our batch made it into cellophane bags to be treats for coworkers. They were a big hit!
